Many are questioning whether Apple will be launching their highly anticipated iPhone within the UK. The event has been dubbed ‘Mum is no longer the word’ so we are guessing only time will tell.
I myself can’t wait to get hold of one of these things! Roll on the 18th if these rumours are the case.

“The basic idea is that if you want to stretch out an image, it will keep the key elements of the photo in sensible places while filling in less important areas. The same goes for shrinking an image – it will eliminate the less important features of an image and leave the main subject areas intact and in the same relative location as they previously appeared in the image.”

The Register reports that The BBC are planning to release their New windows only On- Demand service on the 27th July, this was announced by The Broadcaster today.
It now may be a possiblility that beta could end as soon as the November launch the BBC has hinted, but when the iplayer was being developed it had been beset mostly by delays and strategy ever since it was announced almost three years ago.
BBC Vision director Jana Bennett touched on the issue in today’s announcement: “We are committed to making it as easy as possible to use BBC iPlayer. Developing a version for Apple Macs and Microsoft Vista is absolutely on our critical path.”The iplayer lets the user stream programmes for up to 7 days after the official broadcast also you can download them but there is a limit of 30 days to view it in. Also The BBC reports that they are in discussion with some major companies which include the likes of MSN, Yahoo and Myspace. The service is based on the same P2p technology that is used by Channel 4′s On demand Service, there have also been talks withwhich to unite the two services together But possibly you cannot view this outside the uk after IP mapping which is included with the package.

Even though the Iphone has not even been out 6 months without people wondering what next clever invention Apple will cook up, one of these inventions will include another Iphone except with a new twist this will include the Features of an Ipod Nano. Also JP Morgan, a financial servies firm have released a report that states this will be a cheaper form of the Iphone which is based on the ultra slim ipod Nano also the Firms analyst Kevin Chang has said that people will be confused as to where they have placed their new phone, he based this on the US Patent And Trademark Office and unnamed sources in the supply channel.Reuters reports that according to the patent application, the device is a multifunctional handheld device that uses a circular touch pad control, similar to the Nano’s scroll wheel. Mr Chang also was qouted as saying “We believe that iPod Nano will be converted into a phone because it’s probably the only way for Apple to launch a lower end phone without severely cannibalizing iPod Nano,”, this sounds like a very good idea which will make sure the nano doesnt fade away.Despite the iPhone’s touch screen being a major draw to the device, JP Morgan theorizes that a relatively low-priced nano-phone could draw sales of 30 to 40 million units in 2008.The report joins the gathering storm of second-gen iPhone speculation and persiflage that’s sure to keep Apple fans talking until the very moment Steve Jobs pulls the second coming of the Jesus Phone out of his pocket at a press event
