I went to see this exhibition at the weekend and I must say I was impressed! A stunning eclectic mix of outfits from her eighties ‘I should be so lucky’ break to the most recent Showgirl tour, many designed by Dolce & Gabbana. Not to mention those famous gold hot pants!
There’s a huge array of photography on show too – every album and single cover shot to date was on show.
Get a little closer to Kylie and go and see the show in Manchester while it’s on until September 2nd. If you can’t make it you can get a taster of the collections online here…
Fake prehistoric rock art of a caveman with a shopping trolley has been hung on the walls of the British Museum. The rock was put there by art prankster Banksy, who has previously put works in galleries in London and New York.
A British Museum spokeswoman said they were “seeing the lighter side of it”. She said it went unnoticed for one or two days but Banksy said three days.
Banksy also hung a sign saying the cave art showed “early man venturing towards the out-of-town hunting grounds”.
It read: “This finely preserved example of primitive art dates from the Post-Catatonic era”
The artist responsible is known to have created a substantial body of work across South East of England under the moniker Banksymus Maximus but little else is known about him.

This house is the result of two artists Dan Havel and Dean Ruck’s work before it was about to be demolished. The house in Houston looks almost like it’s been speared and has a tunnel large enough to fit a person from the front to the rear.

Johnny Vegas doesn’t so much climb the property ladder as walk under it in this site-specific solo comedy at the Manchester International Festival. Vegas plays Jeffrey Parkin, who’s showing us around his three-bedroom Chorley semi with a view to making a sale. Purr as Parkin flaunts the pan rack, inspired by the Humber Bridge. Coo at his root-wood coffee table. Then blanche as his beer-bellied Sarah Beeny act crumbles, revealing structural flaws in the property-is-God value system. Interiors (co-created with Stewart Lee) is less Location, Location, Location, more Depression, Depression, Depression. Continue Reading »
