Getty gets a facelift

Getty images have just released a new version of their website for users to preview. The new site will launch fully over the next few weeks.

At first glance it looks like they’ve made significant improvements to their search interface. Allowing you to filter searches based on dynamic criteria based upon your search results, a popular technique employed by larger e-commerce sites. Getty hope the new interface will enable you to find images faster, broaden your search criteria for more image results and instantly access similar

images that are tagged with related keywords.

I think it’s a step in the right direction from a traditional stock library facing increasing competition from the swarm of royalty free image libraries that are emerging every day.
